2021 年 Google 最多人搜尋的時尚關鍵字前 10 名包含了 Rave 風、學院風、Cottagecore、90 年代服裝和節日服裝等，從這些熱門搜尋不妨可以看出今年大眾從時尚搜尋搜尋的內容，主要都以獨樂美學與小眾趨勢作為主要的探索方向， 而從人們對於狂歡和 Preppy 重新產生興趣，表示次文化的時代又再度迴歸，在 TikTok 和 Instagram 等平臺上漸漸受到關注，許多年輕的千禧一代和 Z 世代時尚愛好者其實並沒有真正的落實次文化概念，而是將這個風格視為一種審美而非意識形態運動，不過此心態對於年長的千禧一代、X 世代和嬰兒潮一代來說較難理解，並不瞭解這樣的文化，純粹只是想穿成這樣，或許就是產生了所謂的“跟風”熱潮。
