大家經常稱呼比自己高年級的同學為學長或學姐，那“學長”、“學姐”用英語怎麼說呢？
其實在英語中，“學長”、“學姐”等幾個稱呼在英語中沒有完全對應的詞。
在英語中，一般把同校的人叫作alumnus（校友），但一般指已經畢業的人。
例句：
The gunman in a shooting at Florida State University in Tallahassee was an alumnus and an attorney.
在塔拉哈西佛羅里達州立大學發生的槍擊案中，槍手是一名校友，也是一名律師。
It's our new alumni website for college.
這是我們大學校友會的新網站。
自我介紹時，我們會說自己是freshman（大一新生），sophomore（大二學生），junior（大三學生），或senior（大四學生）。
高年級的人是upperclassman/senior schoolmate（高年級生），低年級的人是lowerclassman/junior schoolmate（低年級生）。
其實“學長/師兄”、“學姐/師姐”之類的，可以不執著於用某個單詞就完事，還可以採用以下幾種方式，較為地道：

She shares the same major as me but is senior/junior to me.
她是跟我同專業的師姐/師妹。
He's the same major, but a year ahead.
他是跟我同專業的上屆師兄。
He's in my major, but a year below/behind me.
他是跟我同專業的下屆師弟。
